After a huge lottery win, Daniel leaves Porac. Five years later, he returns seeking redemption, revisiting his past as his story unfolds piece by piece.
Its most impressive aspect is its incorporation of symbolism and reality, how Danielβs twisted morality comes into contact with a very dormant, very subdued Filipino people. The film really seeks to make a microcosm out of the Philippines, but never resorts to a gun. Violence is often the answer, but its brand goes beyond bullets. (4.5/5)
βGratuitous porn. Nonstop intimidation. Empty threats. One-liner quotes. Occasional laughs. Fleeting moments. Filler scenes. All for show. (1.2/5)
βThe movie is very angry and unapologetic! You may find it too bizarre and alienating! The storytelling is messy sometimes, The runtime can be trimmed and there are characters that needs backstory! (3/5)
βA very, very angry movie. A two-hour assault to the senses that'll leave you bruised. Hayup! (3/5)
