"Friendly Fire" follows Hazel, an internet cafe cashier, as she rises to become a competitive e-sports gamer on an international stage.
Overall, Friendly Fire is a Super Nice story about dreamers and the underdogs, its an inspiring and entertaining film! I hope through this movie, E-Sports will be taken seriously, it requires passion and skill for you to be able to win the game! (4/5)
βServing as an inspiration, this movie is always on fire with hope and positivity. For uplifting fellow players, this movie is a friend in the e-sports community. (2.62/5)
β[...] despite the fact that the players were all just sitting on their PCs and clacking on their keyboard and clicking on their mouse, this Mikhail Red film was exciting and fun, with excellent editing and music of its game play, and energetic commenting by the players and announcers. (7/10)
βAll in all, Friendly Fire is an entertaining watch for e-sports fans. It genuinely respects the community and gives them a good spotlight. As a film experience, however, I felt it needed more layers to make it memorable. (Sakto Lang)
βFriendly Fire is great as entertainment, but it doesn't go deep. It's still pretty fun and a great example of an e-sports film done right. (3.5/5)
βOne of the year's most enjoyable local films I've seen on the big screen, thanks in part to its compelling writing, brilliant direction, and spirited performances of its cast. (3.5/5)
ββFriendly Fireβ will definitely find some appeal among Esports and video games fans, and is quite easy to watch. At the same time, it is definitely on a lower level than Redβs previous works.
