Pasahero follows Michelle, a young woman molested on a train as seven passengers, paralyzed by fear and indifference, fail to intervene. Their guilt soon haunts them.
The true gem of Pasahero is its unfiltered look at societyβs darker side. Itβs not just a horror filmβitβs a social commentary, urging us to question our own role in the cycle of violence. (Thought-provioking)
βCult director Roman Perez, Jr. had shots on the train where the background looked as if there were evil eyes, creating an atmosphere of eerie excitement. Perez was very imaginative in how he composed his shots during the climactic third act [...] (6/10)
βActing quality and pacing issues aside, it is quite admirable that Pasahero uses its platform to highlight a terrifyingly real phenomenon that most may not be aware of. That alone is worth the price of admission. (B)
βUnfortunately for Pasahero. it's not very compelling (or scary, and this is a horror film) and it suffers from a bunch of problems. (2.5/5)
βIts a horror movie with social commentary and a meaningful message, ramdam ko na Direk Roman is trying to break the norm, this is a good start for him, he just needs to polish the storytelling and some minor details. (2/5)
