Ilacad stars as Sunny, who cares for her half-Korean niece Mujigae after the child's mother dies.
[...] what I appreciate with this film is it's not trying hard para paglaruan yung emotion ng audience. Makatotohanan yung acting at yung kwento, walang OA na drama. Pero once a scene tug at your heartstrings, maghanda ka na ng tissue for the water-works. (Napaka Ganda)
βMujigae is set in the Filipino melodrama mode. It has a warm, beautiful heart that is meant to really reach out and touch the Filipino audience. (4/5)
βRyrie Sophia gave a very delightful lead performance as Mujigae, you'd never think this was her first feature film, and a title role at that. (7/10)
βHeartwarming is an understatement of how Mujigae can affect its audience, it's the type of film that you'll remember how it made you feel even years after watching. (3.5/5)
βThis is Alexa's best performance to date in a film, showcasing his maturity as an actress. [..]. A star is born to this cute child actress Ryrie Sophia that will definitely touch your heart with her captivating performance. (3.5/5)
βContrary to their title which means rainbow, the movie lacks life and colors. If not for the actors, ππΆπ«πͺπ¨π’π¦ would suffer from complete darkness. (1.5/5)
βMujigae has some great moments and is an emotionally moving film, but its flaws are indicative of a troubling pattern of impatience that I've been seeing in contemporary Filipino film storytelling as of late. (2.5/5)
