A teenage boy who, while searching for his father and accidentally killing his best friend, gets his life turned upside down and learns the destructive realities about life, death, and beasthood.
Jansen Magpusao as Mateo deserves awards sa performance niya dito. May mga eksenang wala siyang dialogue pero nagagawa pa rin niyang sumigaw ng mga mensahe. At maririnig lahat ng mga manonood, tatagos sa puso. (Super Duper Ganda)
βThe cinematography, editing, production design, sound and musical score here made sure that there was no let up of the tension of uncertainty and sense of danger surrounding Mateo's entire baptism of fire. (8/10)
ββThe Gospel of the Beastβ is an arresting film, one that seeks to disturb you while playing out this violent world in a very human setting. (4/5)
β[...] this is a solid piece of filmmaking, backed up by some terrific performances. Jansen Magpusao is riveting in the lead role, projecting this toughness that is somewhat of an act at first, but then becomes something tragically real as he becomes inured to the cruelties of the world. (3.5/5)
βMaaaring halimaw ang mga karakter na nandito. Pero hindi halimaw ang paraan ng kanilang pagkwento. Kaya sa huli, wala rin itong naging epekto. (0.6/5)
β[...] the filmβs bizarre transitions and editing choices, along with a lack of deeper character development, weaken what could have been a powerful movie. (2.5/5)
