Watching Un/Happy For You is like digging into a deep, exposed wound simply because of how much history there is to tap between the lead stars.

Young love, while exhilarating, can falter under life’s complexities. “Un/Happy for You” beautifully illustrates this transition, showing how an all-consuming passion can evolve into something more nuanced and bittersweet.

The maturity of the two, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, brings out the best in them portraying this emotional and heartfelt film. (4/5)

In a reunion within a reunion plot, the tackling of characters became delicate. At some point, the film made us ask ourselves—are we believing in Juancho and Zy not because of their story, but because of JoshLia’s?

JoshLia is so good though. It delivers the tears and growth is growth. If only they mixed everything together better, it’d be as good as a creamy & spicy Bicol express. (3/5)
