Buoyed by fantastic performances from Toni Gonzaga and Pepe Herrera and a script that ably meshes modern Filipino sensibilities into the 2001 South Korean classic, My Sassy Girl should please fans and first-timers of this timeless tale alike. (A)

With its nostalgic romantic story, smart direction and beautiful performances from its leads, it's hard not to like this film. Napaka ganda for me. (Napaka Ganda)

The chemistry between the two is natural and believable and their charismatic performance makes it more than worthwhile watching their love story journey in the film. (4/5)

Walang kupas si Toni! She can make you laugh and cry! Pepe Herrera truly shines here! I must say, a new RomCom leading man is born! (4/5)

𝘔𝘺 𝘚𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘺 𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭 may not be that romantic and sassy, but it has enough comedy, drama and heart to consider it a decent film. (2.64/5)

The Filipino adaptation was a faithful remake of the original Korean movie 'My Sassy Girl' (2001) [...], but this version is unlikely to ever reach the beloved status the original had, or make its lead actress an Asian icon as Jun Ji-hyun had been. (6/10)

My Sassy Girl drags at times, yet the film avoids the romcom fatigue with its excellent acting and the interesting chemistry of the lead stars. (5.5/10)

In a vacuum, the film's okay, but considering everything else, why make something like this in the first place? Money. The answer is money. (2.5/5)

Solomon's My Sassy Girl can relatively survive on its own especially if it was shown in the late 2000s, especially if majority of the aesthetics date back to what Star Cinema offered with their rom-coms. (2.5/5)
