[...] Itutumba Ka Ng Tatay Ko is an awesome throwback to Philippine cinema, bringing us the 80s and 90s action comedy vibe.

The script [...] plays as a loving homage to all of the glorious action romps of yesteryear, almost like a Scary Movie-esque celebration of what made those films such big hits complete with all the tropes - drunken goons, alluring female "friends", and of course, catchphrase spouting baddies. (B+)

There are some references from other moviesβ€”local to foreign and 90s to present. Some of them bring back memories, and some can make you smile. Cinematography and color grading are okay, while the continuity and editing are not seamless. 2.04/5

You can see Dolphy in Gibbs' slapstick routines and comic facial expressions. FPJ clearly inspired Gibbs' action star outfits, manner of speaking, fighting techniques, and appeal with the ladies (delos Reyes and Vivamax siren Robb Guinto). (6/10)

In its own way, it's one man embracing his darker impulses for the sake of his family, or in another, it's a singer-comedian son emulating the serious, dramatic roles of his father as a way of paying tribute. (2.5/5)

...there is a bit of rarity with this type of film in local cinemas nowadays, a family-oriented father and daughter narrative that caters to non-intellectuals and hinges on your usual good time through the usage of a bit of witty humor and adventure. (2/5)

Well Im glad na binabalik nila yung style nong 90s comedy, If youre a fan of that, you will definitely dig this one! Well as for me, [...], the movie is a hit and miss, hit because may mga punch lines dito na natawa ako but there are scenes na cringey! (2/5)

There's no doubt that Janno Gibbs is a fine comedic actor. [...] But the plot is really terrible, dissapointing and unforgettable. Sa kagustuhan nilang magpatawa na lamang nakalimutan na nilang gumawa ng at least a better action-comedy narrative. (3.8/10)
