It is not the usual horror film that relies on jumpscare but it focuses on the development of story and compelling screenplay. 4.5/5

This film is messed up, and we mean that in the best way possible.

Kampon effectively uncovers horror in the lives of regular people.

The film finds its terror in strangeness, in weird, unsettling things lurking in the background. 3.5/5

And the film is best when it's weird; when it isn't as concerned about giving answers than it is about crafting another strange thing to look at. 3.5/5

Although certain plot elements fail to connect to its larger picture, (K)ampon is a solid psychological horror film that features chillingly disturbing imagery, paranoia-inducing cinematography, and a solid acting turn by child performer Erin Espiritu. (B+)

And for that hanga ako. (Pwede Na)

‘Kampon’ prefers eerie with solid, disturbing results. It succeeds with a plot that feels grounded as well. [...] There’s nothing scarier than playing with real personal issues and Beauty Gonzales & Derek Ramsey play a huge part in making it more effective. (3.5/5)

...the core of this film is that of Clark and Eileen and because it keeps a distance from its main characters, I feel that I was distant from the story itself. I was more interested in the world the film created than the story that runs through it. 3/5

This definitely ain't for those looking for horror films that uses never-ending cheap jump scares to terrify audiences. 3/5

...a solid horror movie, with a complex sick storyline told clearly, nifty visual effects and remarkably vulnerable acting performances from its leads. 6/10

The roller-coaster of emotions, restrained parts are very much on point, by Beauty Gonzalez is truly convincing. Same with Derek Ramsey’s confusion and vulnerability. And Erin Espiritu’s ala Drew Barrymore’s Firestarter type of kid steals the spotlight. (3/5)

The two principal actors are effective in their roles but Beauty Gonzalez stands out for her conviction. Among the technical categories, the makeup work (on the monster) and the cinematography are the film’s strongest elements.

The film dubbed as "true horror" is not horrifying or thrilling after all. 5/10

What comes out of it is quite a strange film that, against my best efforts to appreciate it, feels ultimately at constant odds with itself.

Kampon ng kaantukan at kasayangan. The movie wants to make you think ika-nga. Kaya ayun. Sa wala na silang nasabi talaga. Bahala ka na sa buhay mo ang peg nila. -0.1/5

I can’t help but feel this movie had the potential to be better, but it would’ve required both some rewriting and tighter editing. The good story is there, but just not told in the best way. (2/5)

However with Kampon's case, alam nyo yung ayoko sya bigyan ng zero, I even watched it twice just to give chance [...] however after watching it again, its the same feels! (0/5)
